The Daily Mail writes that Tamsin Greig will star in the West End in WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, based on Pedro Almodovar's 1988 film. Bartlett Sher returns in the director's chair for the production -- he helmed the Broadway cast in 2010. 'BREAKDOWN' begins previews at the Playhouse Theatre on December 20, with an opening slated for January 12, 2015.

The Public Theater's free Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing officially opens tonight, Monday, June 16. The production will run through Sunday, July 6.

The show will run at the Old Red Lion Theatre, Islington from today, 3rd - 21s June 2014. Press night is set for Thursday 5th June, 7.30pm.

The Public Theater has announced complete casting for KING LEAR, the second show of The Public's free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte. Featuring the previously announced John Lithgow as Lear, this enduring tragedy will begin performances on Tuesday, July 22 and run through Sunday, August 17, with an official press opening on Tuesday, August 5.

Jacaranda will perform 'The Knee Plays' by David Byrne, the famed driving force of the 'art rock' band the Talking Heads. This program of 1980s film, theater and ceremonial music is part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic's citywide 'Minimalist Jukebox' (March 16-May 4). Robert Wilson's ambitious, unfinished opera 'the CIVIL warS' was intended for the 1984 Olympics Arts Festival in Los Angeles. 'The Knee Plays' was conceived as a set of 14 short interludes between sections of the opera to span an entire day. Jacaranda's offering of the entire set, which Byrne toured widely and recorded, will complement the L.A. Phil's two performances of the opera's 'Rome Section' by Philip Glass. Together, they constitute the only two completed parts of 'the CIVIL warS' - united in Los Angeles for the first time ever. 'The Knee Plays' tour ended in 1988.

All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, is currently in previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre. The production officially opens on Thursday, March 6, 2014 for a strictly limited engagement. Celebrating its 13th season, the Ensemble of the Romantic Century (ERC) presents Tchaikovsky: None But the Lonely Heart at The Fishman Space in the new BAM Fisher. A fully staged theatrical concert blending striking music, powerful language and biography, Tchaikovsky: None But the Lonely Heart delves into the unconventional 16-year long relationship between one of the great composers of the 19th century and his patroness, Madame von Meck. Written by Eve Wolf and directed by Donald T. Sanders, this evening-length production seamlessly interweaves a dramatic script performed by actor Simon Fortin (Tchaikovsky) and actress Ariel Bock (Madame von Meck) of Shakespeare & Company with live chamber and vocal music performed by violinist Rachel Lee Priday, cellist Adrian Daurov, pianist Eve Wolf and tenor Blake Friedman. Featuring some of Tchaikovsky's epic pieces including Piano Trio in A Minor, Tchaikovsky: None But the Lonely Heart represents some of the composer's balletic works through dance both choreographed and performed by American Ballet Theatre dancer Daniel Mantei.

Continuing its commitment to bringing Shakespeare to the community and strengthening audience engagement with the arts, The Public Theater will mount its MOBILE SHAKESPEARE UNIT again this November with a free three-week tour to the five boroughs of Shakespeare's comedy MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah and featuring choreography by Chase Brock. The three-week mobile tour (November 4-22) will bring free Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts by visiting prisons, homeless shelters, centers for the elderly, and other community venues, including stops at our Public Works community partner venues: Brownsville Recreation Center in Brooklyn, Fortune Society in Queens and DreamYard Project in the Bronx.
