Produced by DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, SHREK THE MUSICAL® is based on the story and characters from William Steig's book Shrek! and the Oscar®-winning original Dreamworks Animation feature film Shrek, the first chapter in the series of irreverent fairy tales. Tickets for the new stage musical are on sale for performances until February 19, 2012.
SHREK THE MUSICAL played on Broadway from December 2008 to January 2010 and was nominated for eight Tony Awards, winning Tim Hatley the Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical. The original creative team has now re-assembled to stage the production with new songs and additional scenes. Science Channel general manager and executive vice president of programming Debbie Myers announced today that the network is partnering with film and television star Wilmer Valderrama and his WV Enterprises and Emmy Award-winning executive producer Tom Forman of RelativityREAL to produce BUGGING OUT. An all-new series about the little-known world of exotic (and sometimes creepy) insects, BUGGING OUT is set to debut in 2011. Science Channel is offering viewers a special sneak preview of the series on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at 9 PM (ET).

A starry Broadway cast portrays Gordon's own family story - complete with a tough Bronx-born father and former 'Borscht Belt' singer/comedian mother - in a tale of two generations' struggles and triumphs in the decades from World War II through the 1990s.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today that seven plays will be developed at the 2010 National Playwrights Conference under the leadership of artistic director Wendy C. Goldberg. The selected playwrights will spend the month of July at the O'Neill's Waterford, Connecticut campus developing and presenting staged readings of their work during the NPC's 46th season. Box office and online ticket sales open Wednesday, June 9; advance ticket sales will be available to O'Neill Members beginning Monday, May 17.
