The Players Theatre Company's (aka The Crighton Players) next show of the 2012-13 season is the much beloved and cherished musical The Fantasticks. Written by Harvey Schmidt (music) and Tom Jones (book and lyrics), this musical allegory about the romance between a young couple and their meddling fathers has performed to sold-out houses worldwide. With such timeless, memorable musical numbers as 'Try to Remember,' 'They Were You' and 'Soon it's Gonna Rain.'

For the 4th consecutive year, Stamford Center for the Arts will be awarding its Emerging Young Artist Scholarship Award to a talented vocalist, in honor of Liza Minnelli. The deadline to submit the completed audition form, resume and CD is February 25th. The recipient of this award will receive a $2,000 scholarship to pursue his/her musical education and will receive the award at the 4th annual Palace Theatre Gala on June 21st. Paper Mill Playhouse has announced a unique fundraiser on the stage of the historic Millburn Theater tonight, September 15, at 7:00pm. With live-entertainment by cabaret performer Eddie Bruce, cocktail party guests will be treated to food from Exquisite Entertaining, one of NJ's premier caterers known for their delectable creations, and wine by Sean Larkin whose Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon have garnered rave reviews. Tickets are $300 per person, $200 of which is tax deductible, and all of the proceeds will go to benefit the many artistic, education, and outreach programs of Paper Mill Playhouse.
