Birdland (315 West 44th Street - between 8th & 9th Aves.) has announced its line-up of extraordinary entertainment for the month of August.

The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, a new musical comedy from the creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash The Producers, will open on Broadway November 8th 2007 at the Hilton Theatre (213 W 42nd St). Previews begin October 11th 2007. The production stars Roger Bart (Dr. Frederick Frankenstein), Megan Mullally (Elizabeth), Sutton Foster (Inga), Shuler Hensley (The Monster), Fred Applegate (Kemp) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Igor).

Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schoenberg's THE PIRATE QUEEN, the spectacular new musical from the authors of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, will play a pre-Broadway, World Premiere engagement in Chicago from October 3rd through November 26th, 2006.

The Autograph Suit, featuring the signatures of dozens of celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor, Judi Dench and Ethel Merman, will be auctioned off on eBay to fund a Broadway-bound musical premiering at a Pennsylvania high school

Frank Wildhorn & Friends was presented at Joe's Pub on Monday, September 5, 2005 and will be repeated on September 12th, and 19th. The September 12th concert takes place at 7:00PM, on September 19th, the show will be performed at 7:00PM, and 9:30PM.
