The East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2017 - 2018 season was announced today. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, the new season will play at the historic Saenger Theatre in downtown New Orleans beginning fall 2017.

San Francisco Opera's 2016–17 Season continues with ten performances of Giacomo Puccini's heartbreaking drama Madama Butterfly, November 6 through December 4 at the War Memorial Opera House. The cast will feature the much-anticipated American debut of young Italian tenor Vincenzo Costanzo as Lt. B.F. Pinkerton and return of Armenian soprano Lianna Haroutounian as the tragic heroine, Cio-Cio-San. Jun Kaneko's colorful and compelling production, last seen in San Francisco during the 2013–14 Season, will be directed by Leslie Swackhamer and Maestro Yves Abel conducts the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Chorus.

Rent: 20th Anniversary Tour will be coming to the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA) in Concord, New Hampshire today, November 3, 2016 at 7:30PM. The show features New Hampshire-raised Kaleb Wells as Roger.

EMH Productions rounds out its fifth year of dynamic theatre on intimate Sacramento stages, this time partnering with Co-Producer Atim Udoffia for Doubt by John Patrick Shanley.  The producers of the RENT 20th Anniversary Tour announced today that single tickets for the upcoming tour engagement at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) will go on sale on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10A. The RENT 20th Anniversary Tour will be at PPAC April 7 - 9, 2017, with performances on Friday at 7:30P, Saturday at 2P & 8P, and Sunday at 1P. 

It's been twenty years since Mark Ravenhill's notoriously titled Shopping and F**king was first staged at the Royal Court. In his foreword for the Lyric Hammersmith's anniversary production, Ravenhill describes the show's scandalous reputation - and its actual reception. 1996 audiences may have been - largely - ready to nod seriously at plays highlighting such 'issues', but this production, directed by Sean Holmes, seems aimed at a broader demographic than just the theatrical intelligentsia.
