The Royal Shakespeare Company's world premiere production of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical has captured the imagination of young and old alike and continues to play to packed houses at London's Cambridge Theatre. It swept the board at last year's Laurence Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking seven awards.

With a new leadership team of Gregory Doran, Artistic Director, and Catherine Mallyon, Executive Director, at the helm, the Royal Shakespeare Company returns to New York this spring with two productions, Julius Caesar and Matilda The Musical. According to the Telegraph, the West End hit musical version of Roald Dahl's Matilda is undergoing some last-minute changes before it opens on Broadway in April. After several previews, some of the lyrics are being revised for American audiences.

Currently playing at London's Cambridge Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Matilda the Musical is Broadway-bound in 2013. MATILDA THE MUSICAL begins performances on March 4 and opens on April 11 2013 at the Shubert Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers today announced the casting of the title role in the RSC's eagerly anticipated Broadway-bound musical MATILDA THE MUSICAL. Each of the four girls will play the role at difference performances: Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro. Each girl will be making her Broadway debut.

After a weekend of frenzied Twitter chat about the 2012 BWW:UK Awards, voting has been boosted by fans getting their votes in for their favourites as we enter the last weeks of polling!

Michael Ball, Imelda Staunton, Peter Polycarpou and Lucy May Barker are all in front in their categories as performers, while Anthony Ward leads in design, Paul Groothius in sound design, Jonathan Tunick in orchestrations - with the show leading as Best Revival of a Musical.

At 11am tomorrow, 400,000 tickets will go on sale for 2013 for the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Matilda The Musical. The record-breaking production, now booking through until 22 December next year, continues to play to packed houses at London's Cambridge Theatre.

MATILDA THE MUSICAL made its West End debut last November in a brand new musical version by Dennis Kelly and award-winning musician and comedian Tim Minchin, whose website announced today that the show will be included in the 2013 Guinness Book of World Records for the most Olivier Award wins.

Annette McLaughlin will join the company of Matilda as Mrs Wormwood from today, 21 August 2012. She will play alongside Haley Flaherty and Steve Furst, who have recently joined the Company as Miss Honey and Mr Wormwood. Josie Walker performed as Mrs Wormwood for the last time on Sunday 19 Augus
