Neville Dance Theatre to Present EXPOSED in Brooklyn This Fall

Neville Dance Theatre, a NY-based theatrical dance company with contemporary innovation, presents the works of Brenda Neville and guest choreographers Billy Blanken and Ursula Verduzco. The program, titled EXPOSED, will feature four world premieres-ensemble works Exposed and Blessed by Neville, Epidermis a duet by Verduzco, and Brahm's Double Concerto a quintet by Blanken. EXPOSED will have two performances on November 5 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at The Actors Fund Arts Center in Brooklyn.

Porchlight Music Theatre Announces Casting for END OF THE RAINBOW

Porchlight Music Theatre announces the Chicago premiere of End of the Rainbow, November 4 - December 4,  featuring music from the songbook of Judy Garland, written by Peter Quilter, starring Angela Ingersoll as "Judy Garland," direction by Porchlight Music Theatre Artistic Director Michael Weber, music direction by Jon Steinhagen, who also appears as "Anthony," at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave.

Georgetown meets DC's own percussion-driven go-go music, an offshoot of funk, in a booty-shaking new musical created by 'singular playwright-director' (Boston Globe) Professor Natsu Onoda Power, a faculty member of Georgetown University's Theater & Performance Studies Program and artistic director of the Davis Performing Arts Center, and Charles 'Shorty Corleone' Garris, music producer/educator, and lead singer of DC Go-Go band Rare Essence.

San Francisco Opera General Director Matthew Shilvock today announced the casting and schedule for the Company's summer 2018 presentations of Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung). Ombelico Mask Ensemble Tackles Hamlet During 2016 Philadelphia Fringe Festival September 15-24

After exploring the Greeks last year, Ombelico Mask Ensemble is scrambling up the 2016 Philadelphia Fringe Festival with their madcap exploration of Shakespeare, Omeletto, Like Hamlet Only Scrambled. Sergei Danilian to Present ARDANI 25 DANCE GALA at New York City Center

Instead of the usual gala fare -- bits of firecracker variations and pieces of ballet classics -- Sergei Danilian's 'Ardani 25 Dance Gala' at New York City Center, August 19 and 20, is classic Danilian. The intrepid impresario, who has never side-stepped risk, will celebrate Ardani Artists's quarter century of producing in the United States and abroad with a trio of U.S. premieres, two by young, unknown, but up-and-coming Russian choreographers, and one by American Ballet Theatre principal Marcelo Gomes.

New Children's Theatre Launch BEYOND IMAGINATION

Imagine Project, a brand new children's theatre company focusing on gender equity, diversity, and inclusion, will launch its new company with Beyond Imagination, a gala event on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Colony Theatre Company in Burbank, CA. Imagine Project will be the only union theatre company in Los Angeles dedicated solely to children's programming. The event is free and open to the public but RSVP registration is required at imagineprojectca.com/eventbrite. The evening will feature complimentary food, wine, live entertainment, and an auction. Dress code is 'cocktail swanky.' Actor Jeffrey Landman, best known as Billy Hill in the Halloween film franchise, will serve as MC for the gala. John Achorn, Karl Ramsey, and Juliette Storace, of the Commedia dell'Arte Studio Zanni, will also perform. The launch event will serve as a fundraiser for the new theatre company. Proceeds will be used to fund production costs for The Tale of Turandot by Armina LaManna, Imagine Project's inaugural production slated for early 2017.

Stage Door Records are pleased to make available a 'first listen' of the complete track 'I've Always Had A Dream' from the forthcoming album 'Lost West End 2'. The song is from the 1977 musical 'Drake's Dream' which opened at the Shaftesbury Theatre on December 7th 1977 and ran for 82 performances. The track is performed by leading actor / singer (and former lead vocalist of Manfred Mann) Paul Jones.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts Kicks Off 30th Anniversary Celebration with Tour de Force III Dance Spectacular

Segerstrom Center for the Arts begins its 30th Anniversary celebration with another one-night-only star-studded evening of dance: Tour de Force III. The performance will be the first event to represent the array and diversity of the Center's artistic programming, in this case, 30 years of presenting the greatest ballet companies and the world's most celebrated dancers. Tour de Force III will be on Saturday, August 27 in Segerstrom Hall. Produced in collaboration with Ardani Artists, the program will include four Center premieres: Clay by Vladimir Varnava, Zeitgeist by Alastair Marriott, Tristesse by Marcelo Gomes and Le Divertissement du Roi by Maxim Petrov. The international cast includes Diana Vishneva, Joaquin de Luz, Marcelo Gomes, Denis Matvienko, Marcelino Sambe?, Friedemann Vogel and Edward Watson, as well as members of the The Royal Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet and the National Ballet of Canada.
