In the ways Angels in America embodies and reflects the zeitgeist of the AIDS epidemic, Our Dear Dead Drug Lord presents a story of four young women with a penchant for summoning spirits that somehow perfectly encapsulates the larger experiences of living in a terror-obsessed, post-9/11 world muddied by senseless shootings.

Kiss Me, Kate! is a musical written by Bella and Samuel Spewack ,with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC)  has announced the 2023 grant awards for the Flamboyan Artist Fellowship. Sixteen Puerto Rico-based artists will receive grants of $5,000 to support artist creativity and cultural preservation. The awards are made possible through a partnership between the NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA)  grant program and the Flamboyan Arts Fund.

Signature Theatre announces the cast and creative team of its world premiere production of MacArthur Fellow Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' The Comeuppance, directed by Eric Ting. Concluding Jacobs-Jenkins' Premiere Residency—and Signature's 2022-2023 season of personal and profound works from its Resident writers—The Comeuppance runs May 16–June 25.

Co-artistic directors Kyra Sims and Rob Neill and the award-winning New York Neo-Futurists (NYNF), a collective of writer-director-performers now in their 19th season of writing and performing original work rooted in non-fiction, announce the expanding of the ensemble with four new artists: Amelia Bethel, Brent Whiteside, Maya Carter, and Jezz Chung. These new Neo-Futurists will start working with the company immediately and will each have initial individual five-week runs in The Infinite Wrench at the Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street, NYC) now through August of 2023.

Shakespeare Theatre Company has announced the cast and creative team for the upcoming production of Tectonic Theater Project's Here There Are Blueberries. 

Riley Elton McCarthy's THE LESBIAN PLAY is set to play a limited engagement at The Triad Theater beginning June 9th. After a previous industry workshop at ART/NY in November, the production announces their full company and continued direction by Colleen Morgen.

Theatre for a New Audience will present the Off-Broadway premiere in English of the great Spanish author Lope de Vega’s Fuente Ovejuna (1612), translated by the late British poet, novelist, and playwright Adrian Mitchell.

Casting Society (CSA) honored excellence in casting across feature films, television and theatre at the 38th Annual Artios Awards held on Thursday, March 9, with ceremonies in Los Angeles, New York and London.

Conceived by the late Okwui Enwezor and curated by the Foundation's Director Hoor Al Qasimi, Sharjah Biennial 15: Thinking Historically in the Present reflects on Enwezor's visionary work, which transformed contemporary art and has influenced the evolution of institutions and biennials around the world, including the Sharjah Biennial.
