Following the success of last season's new DEMO series, Damian Woetzel continues to unite artists from across fields around a common theme in a performance on October 10, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. This installment of the multi-genre series brings together acclaimed artists for a special one-night performance to celebrate their heroes and artistic inspirations. The cast of Heroes features soprano Jacqueline Bolier, singer/songwriter Kate Davis, Broadway and New York City Ballet star Robert Fairchild, tap dance powerhouse Jared Grimes, acclaimed ballerina Carla Korbes, visual art curator, author, and historian Sarah Lewis, Memphis jookin' dance pioneer Lil Buck (last seen as part of DEMO: Place), the MusiCorps Wounded Warrior Band, and jazz prodigy Matthew Whitaker.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the monthly gathering of the International Order of Sodomites, the centuries-old organization which sets the mythic Gay Agenda - will open its eighth and final season on Sunday, September 18 at 9:30 PM at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater.

For the second year, the Four Nations Ensemble will make its home at Merkin Concert Hall to present three programs of chamber and vocal music by Bach and his contemporaries, from Handel to Couperin to Vivaldi. The programs, each on Monday evenings, will be held January 30, March 13, and May 8, 2017 at 8:00 PM.

New York, NY - Sir Simon Rattle will conduct The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys and Orchestra of St. Luke's in a special benefit concert to include Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughn Williams and Edward Elgar's Serenade for Strings on Sunday, September 18 at 7:00pm. The concert will be the last in a yearlong series of performances that have been offered at St Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in honor of Maestro John Scott who served as Organist and Director of Music for eleven years, and who died unexpectedly in August 2015.  Proceeds from the concert will be used to create a Saint Thomas Choir School scholarship to assist choristers in need which will be established in John Scott's memory.

 It was announced today Tony Award-Winner Cynthia Erivo and Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry will star in a special one-night-only benefit concert version of Jason Robert Brown's seminal musical, The Last Five Years, with the composer himself leading the orchestra. Produced by SubCulture and Jason Robert Brown, the evening will take place at Town Hall (123 West 43rd St), and 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Brady Center, the national organization determined to create a safer America by cutting gun deaths in half by 2025.

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 37th season of professional theater on Cape Ann with a limited run of Jason Robert Brown's Songs For A New World from August 4 through August 27 at 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Songs For A New World with music and lyrics by three time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown is a stirring musical journey examining the moments of decision and difficult choices faced in everyday life. 'KANREKI SURPRISE', a concert celebrating the 60th Birthday of KSA's Artistic Director, Shakuhachi Grand Master James Nyoraku Schlefer, will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016, 7:30 PM at the Tenri Cultural Institute.

 OPERA America, the national service organization for opera and the nation's leading champion for American opera, is pleased to announce that Timothy O'Leary, general director of Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, has been elected the new chairman of OPERA America's board of directors. He has been involved with OPERA America since 2006, when he participated in Leadership Advance, one of the organization's professional development programs. He joined OPERA America's board in 2011. O'Leary was elected chairman at OPERA America's recent annual business meeting — held during Opera Conference 2016 in Montreal — where eight new members were also elected to the board and three current members were re-elected to three-year terms.

Lawrence Edelson, Artistic and General Director of Opera Saratoga, announced the program for the 2016 Summer Festival, which will run from May 28 through July 17, 2016.
