Rehearsals began this week for the revival of John Guare's critically acclaimed play Six Degrees of Separation starring seven-time Emmy Award winner Allison Janney ('Mom,' The Girl on the Train) as Ouisa, Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart, 'Manhattan') as Flan and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, '24: Legacy') as Paul. Directed by Trip Cullman (Significant Other, Yen), Six Degrees of Separation will begin previews Wednesday, April 5 prior to the official opening on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Barrymore Theatre. The production will play a 15-week run through Sunday, July 16.

As the second world war rages, two boys face turmoil closer to home when their father deposits them on their grandmother's doorstep to become a traveling salesman. In 'Lost in Yonkers' at College of the Mainland Community Theatre, showing Jan. 26 to Feb. 12, the boys decide to make money quickly in hopes of reuniting with him. They work on their mission while contending with Grandma, their aunt and her secret romance, and their uncle, a small-time hoodlum, in a strange new world called Yonkers.

Prince George's Little Theatre will produce Neil Simon's dramatic comedy "Lost in Yonkers" at the Bowie Playhouse from August 12-27. All Friday performances and Saturday performances August 13 and 20 are at 8 p.m. The Sunday performances August 14 and 21 and the closing performance Saturday August 27 are 2 pm. matinees. The play is directed by Ken Kienas and produced by Malia Murray.

Last week on LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT, in honor of the release of 'The Carol Burnett Show: The Lost Episodes,' Kevin Spacey surprised his idol Carol Burnett with a very special poem. 'There's actually somebody here tonight, and you are his idol,' Colbert told Burnett, 'and it's the actor Kevin Spacey, and he would like to come out and say hi.' The HOUSE OF CARDS star then appeared and read the poem in his best Jimmy Stewart impersonation, which brought Ms. Burnett to tears. CLICK HERE to watch the appearance.

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) kicks off a milestone 25th anniversary season with Neil Simon's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Lost in Yonkers, on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 27.
