HERE (Kristin Marting, Founding Artistic Director, and Kim Whitener, Executive Director) is proud to announce its 2018-2019 season, which marks the OBIE-winning institution's 26th year of producing of daring new hybrid performance by new artists from all disciplines - theatre, music, art, dance, puppetry, and media art.

The Ladies Foursome was based upon an earlier play by Foster entitled The Foursome, in which four men who are old buddies from college, play 18 holes of golf. Foster shifted the story to feature four women instead of four men, and changed the plot in specific ways to fit his new cast of characters. Ladies Foursome premiered at the Morrisburg Theatre in Montreal, Canada in July of 2014. The show received glowing reviews with many critics claiming that this new Foursome was better than the first. Soon after, the play received an American premiere at the B Street Theatre, and since then has been produced at the Bay Theatre in Baltimore, Theatre Baddeck in Cape Brenton Island, and the Toowoomba Theatre in Canada.

Comedian, Bill Burr, comes to RBTL's Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, on Saturday, August 4 at 8:00pm.

This year I decided to spend a bewitching night in Griffith Park, selecting to see my favorite Bard comedy, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, presented by the Independent Shakespeare Company (ISC) celebrating the 15th anniversary season of free Shakespeare in Los Angeles City Parks. In 2010, ISC moved free Shakespeare in Barnsdall Park to Griffith Park, the second largest city park in California. The growth in attendance has been extraordinary, certainly due in part to the quality of the productions. The Old Globe's 2018 Summer Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for Barefoot in the Park, as director Jessica Stone (Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood!, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) returns to the Globe to extend its decades-long relationship with giant comic playwright Neil Simon with this fresh and hilarious new look at his "bubbling, rib-tickling comedy" (The New York Times). Barefoot in the Park will play July 28 - September 2, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $30.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run July 28 - August 1. Opening night is Thursday, August 2 at 8:00 p.m.

According to Deadline, Jason Ritter has been cast as the lead in Netflix's straight-to-series hourlong sci-fi family drama Raising Dion, based on commercial and music video director Dennis Liu's short film about an African-American single mother who discovers her young son has multiple, constantly changing abilities. The project comes from Liu, Creed star Michael B. Jordan, who will have a supporting role, veteran showrunner Carol Barbee (UnReal, Judging Amy), writer-producer Michael Green (American Gods, Logan) and Charles D. King's MACRO (Fences).

Toronto's Festival of Beer, presented by the Beer Store will kick-off their legendary summer festival on Thursday, July 26 with Broken Social Scene and The Rural Alberta Advantage. Both Toronto based bands will perform to a crowd of music fans and beer lovers on the OLG Bandshell Stage. The festival runs from July 26 to 29 in the heart of downtown Toronto at Bandshell Park, Exhibition Place. INDIE88 is the official media partner of TFOB 2018 opening night.

Bradshaw, today announces the complete cast for Toshiki Okada's Time's Journey Through a Room, marking PlayCo's third collaboration with Okada, translator Aya Ogawa, and director Dan Rothenberg, May 10 - June 10, 2018. This haunting play, set in post-Fukushima Japan, will star three Japanese born performers, all of whom are now based in New York: Yuki Kawahisa (Honoka), Maho Honda (Arisa) and Kensaku Shinohara (Kazuki). The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment.
