Starting rehearsals at The 5th Avenue Theatre this week is the critically-acclaimed Broadway musical, A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN.

Clear Space Theatre Company presents Cole Porter's classic 1930s musical ANYTHING GOES on weekends March 18 - April 3, 2016 in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  Set aboard the ocean liner SS AMERICAN, ANYTHING GOES tells the story of Reno Sweeney and her old friend Billy Crocker as they face the shipboard complications of boy-meets-girl, set to such classic Cole Porter tunes as "Friendship", "It's De-Lovely", "I Get No Kick from Champagne", and the title song "Anything Goes."

On August 21 Red Blanket Productions will present a rare revival of Stephen Sondheim's musical Assassins at the Pico Playhouse in West LA. Director Dan Fishbach and actor Zachary Lutsky, who plays assassin John Hinckley, recently took time out of their busy schedules to talk about the show. It is particularly relevant this year as we recollect the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's assassination by John Wilkes Booth in 1865. BIOS:

Bayou Theatre Company continues it's 2014-2015 Season "Finding the Real" with Stew's musical "Passing Strange," exploring themes of acceptance, identity, the importance of family and love, set in various parts of Europe like Amsterdam, and Berlin. Passing Strange is directed by Bayou Theatre Company's Artistic Director Alric Davis with musical direction by Donte Wright, and will be performed at the Frenetic Theatre Thursday - Saturday August 6th - 8th nightly at 7:30 p.m.

Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera gets its NY premiere as it kicks-off the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) this July. Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera has a concept, book and lyrics by Elizabeth Searle, music by Michael Teoli, and will be directed by David Alpert (If/ Then), with musical direction by Henry Aronson (Rock of Ages), and choreography by Marc Kimelman (A Bronx Tale). Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera will play at the PTC Performing Space (555 West 42nd St.) from tonight, July 9, through July 16, 2015.
