Following on from its critically acclaimed 2015 London run and 2016 UK Tour, Green Day's explosive Tony Award ® winning musical, American Idiot will be returning to it's London home at the Arts Theatre, for a strictly limited run from 8 July - 25 September 2016, with press night on Wednesday 13 July.

Green Day's American Idiot had the punk rock band's fans out in force for the band's rock opera - even if the staged version of the 2004 concept album was a little less than the sum of its parts.

As previously announced, double platinum selling artist Newton Faulkner joins the cast of Green Day's explosive Tony Award-winning musical, AMERICAN IDIOT, on its UK tour this spring. Newton will be taking on the role of Johnny from May 2016 after Matt Thorpe, who will open the role from tonight, 19 March at the Curve Theatre, Leicester until 7 May at the New Theatre, Oxford. The 15th annual Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by AT&T, today announced a further expansion of TV with a new program, Tribeca Tune In.

Classical Action: Performing Arts Against AIDS continues the 2015-16 Michael Palm Series of house concerts in New York City on Saturday, February 27, 2016, with a performance featuring a stellar quartet of vocalists: bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni, soprano Anita Hartig, baritone Mariusz Kwiecien, and tenor Matthew Polenzani. Live from New York! SNL alum Tina Fey and husband Jeff Richmond have co-written and will co-direct a special tribute to SNL creator Lorne Michaels at Lincoln Center's American Songbook Gala. The event takes place at The Alice Tully Hall tonight, February 11th.

Acoustic power doesn't mean this guy can't rock. The Daily Mail writes that singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner will join the UK tour of AMERICAN IDIOT at the New Alexandra Theatre on May 10, taking over for Aaron Sidwell. The site also reports that the production is eyeing a return to the Arts Theatre this summer.
