Sundance Institute showcases bold, independent storytelling at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, beginning with today's announcement of feature films selected across all categories. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 18 28.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts has announced that the first U.S. National tour of the hit musical THE BODYGUARD, will play Reynolds Hall from Today, Nov. 21 to Sunday, Nov. 26. Tickets go on sale next Friday, Sept. 29.

Creative Time has announced the hoisting of the third public artwork in the Pledges of Allegiance series, Breathing Flag by artist Nari Ward, which took take place today, August 14.

Ellen McDougall today announced the full cast for The Unknown Island, her inaugural production of Artistic Director of Gate Theatre.  She directs Jon Foster, Hannah Ringham, Thalissa Teixera and Zubin Varla in the adaptation of Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago's short story which opens on 18 September, with previews from 11 September, running until 7 October.

???????Adventure Stage Chicago (ASC), the participatory arts program of Northwestern Settlement (the Settlement), announces its 14th season of programming for young audiences, exploring the theme of "Literacy" as the company applies its mission of telling heroic stories to the Settlement objective of disrupting generational poverty. ASC's "Literacy" season features the stage adaptation of Akeelah and the Bee; a commissioned work by Lucas Baisch, based on the Guatemalan myths of Popol Vuh and created in collaboration with community partners; and an original piece devised by ASC's Trailblazers youth mentorship program.  All performances take place at Northwestern Settlement's Vittum Theater, 1012 N. Noble St. Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for youth aged 14 years and younger. Group tickets are $10 for ten or more guests. Student matinee tickets are $7 for CPS and $8 for non-CPS groups. This June, one of Chicago's longest-running smash-hit shows, Tony n' Tina's Wedding, will celebrate 25 years as one of the windy city's most beloved theatrical institutions.  To honor the occasion, Chicago's favorite soon-to-be-married couple, Tony Nunzio and Tina Vitale, are welcoming back members of the original 1992 Chicago cast to the performance on Friday, June 16 at 8 p.m. Tony n' Tina's Wedding played an incredible 16 years during its original run in Chicago, and during that time entertained more than one million audience members of all ages. The new, retro/flashback version of the show opened in September of 2016 and is now in an open-ended run.

Kiehl's Since 1851 and Art Production Fund are pleased to present Jeff Koons's Seated Ballerina, a large-scale public art installation, hosted by Tishman Speyer at Rockefeller Center from May 12 June 2, 2017. The inflatable nylon sculpture stands 45 feet high and depicts a seated ballerina from the artist's iconic Antiquity series.
