With 'a crash of drums, a flash of light,' Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the internationally acclaimed musical/dance extravaganza explodes on Star of the Day Stage. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's spectacular musical will close the company's 2nd season of musicals. The show opens on Friday, December 2, 2016, with performances through December 17. Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30 pm, with matinees at 2:00 pm Sundays. Star of the Day is located at McCoole's Arts & Events Place, 10 S. Main Street, Quakertown, PA. The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Bright Star, a new American musical featuring music by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin, lyrics by Brickell, and book by Martin, based on an original story by Martin and Brickell. Directed by Walter Bobbie, Bright Star will run September 13 - November 2, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run September 13 - September 27. Opening night is Sunday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. Single tickets go on sale on Friday, August 8 at noon.

Broadway stars Ryan Silverman and Nikki Renee Daniels joined the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on Friday in its most recent pops program, 'The Cocktail Hour: Music of the Mad Men Era.'
