The Museum of Modern Art recognizes the achievements of Roman Polanski with a complete retrospective of the filmmaker's works, September 7-30, 2011, in The Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters. Over the course of a half century, Polanski has become widely recognized as one of the premier international filmmakers, directing films in Poland, England, the U.S., Italy, and France and working with distinguished actors such as Jack Nicholson, Adrien Brody, Catherine Deneuve, Mia Farrow, Ben Kingsley, and Nastassja Kinski.

One of Broadway's brightest stars, Bernadette Peters, will be the recipient of the Distinguished Dedication and Service to the American Musical Theater Award, presented by Westport Country Playhouse at the theater's '80th Birthday' gala, 'Playing Our Songs: Celebrating 80 Years of Musical Theater,' on the evening of Monday, September 19.

The Moody Blues will embark on their first cross-Canadian Fall tour in more than a decade, playing in 16 markets around the country. According to her website, Bernadette Peters, who was most recently seen performing in New York in her sold out Broadway Barks benefit concert, will be playing at a variety of venues around the country for her upcoming tour, which kicks off next year. The two-time Tony winner will perform a wide variety of tunes from her vast theatre repertoire.
