The Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice rock opera, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, is the latest production at Alpha/Omega Players in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania. This show is loosely based on the last week of Jesus's life. Alpha/Omega does a decent job taking on this large production, as they creatively use the small space they have to fit a very large cast. Alpha/Omega's production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is a satisfactory show with some intense moments.

The Really Useful Group (RUG) confirmed it is taking legal action against Michael Cohl's Options Clause Entertainment following his cancellation of the 2014 North American Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. The Really Useful Group (RUG) has no option but to proceed with legal action to recover its costs associated with the project and in turn, satisfy outstanding payments to suppliers and contractors.

Mercer County Community College's (MCCC) Kelsey Theatre is rolling out the classics for the 2014-15 season. Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Tim Rice. The musical started off as a rock opera concept recording before its first staging on Broadway in 1971. The musical is based very loosely on the Gospels' account of the last week of Jesus' life, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem, and ending with the crucifixion. The third Broadway revival is currently playing at the Neil Simon Theatre.
