No one writes more recognizable movie scores than John Williams, and today, April 4 through 6, Maestro Michael Krajewski will lead the Philly POPS as they take audiences on a journey through the great music of many popular movies. The Magical Music of John Williams concert will feature music from Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List and more. The POPS Festival Chorus will sing several selections. Guests will be surprised during the concert by local Star Wars enthusiasts who are members of the 501st Legion, Garrison Carida, the world's largest costuming organization, in character as Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2D3, C3PO, and Storm Troopers.

The world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy Bullets Over Broadway, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, will begin preview performances tomorrow, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). The new musical will be directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. Produced, created and hosted by Bobby Cronin, INSPIRED is a benefit concert series for animal rescue organizations across the country that will play every other month, with a rotating line-up of some of today's exciting musical theatre writers in a casual and intimate setting as they sit behind the piano and, unlike traditional concerts of their material, perform songs by other writers that have inspired their work. The INSPIRED series hopes to spread the word about the 2.7 million adoptable animals that are euthanized each year in America. Jessica Kahkoska serves as associate producer.

La Jolla Playhouse is the recipient of three prestigious and highly-competitive grants to support its world-premiere production of The Who & The What, by 2013 Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar, directed by Kimberly Senior, running February 11 - March 9 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.
