The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra officially welcomes its new Music Director, Louis Langrée, with an inaugural concert program on November 8-10, 2013 that honors the Orchestra's rich history and ushers in an exciting new era for the CSO. Dr. Maya Angelou, one of the most inspiring voices of our time, will narrate Copland's iconic Lincoln Portrait, a work that received its world premiere by the CSO in 1942. The inaugural program, conducted by Mr. Langrée and taking place at Cincinnati's historic Music Hall, also features Beethoven's enormously popular Fifth Symphony, which was featured during the CSO's first season in 1895, and Jennifer Higdon's exhilarating On a Wire, a recent work co-commissioned by the Orchestra.

ROSS VALLEY PLAYERS have announced their 2013 - 2014 season for their 84th consecutive year. Among the six plays included in the new season are Pulitzer Prize, and Tony nominees and winners, and a West Coast Premiere. Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) has announced its 2013-2014 mainstage season. MET's sixteenth mainstage season will run from September of 2013 through June of 2014 and will feature a British comic classic, an American masterpiece and several contemporary crowd pleasers. MET Artistic Director Tad Janes believes that each of the six mainstage shows in MET's upcoming season will help, 'build on the strong reputation we have earned over the past decade and a half as a destination for challenging, entertaining, professional theater.'

New York Classical Theatre will kick off its summer season with a roving outdoor production of Anton Chekhov's comedy 'The Seagull,' which it will present for free in Central Park before heading to Prospect Park for the company's Brooklyn debut.
