Manhattan Theatre Club will produce a new Broadway production of Saint Joan, written by Nobel Prize in Literature and Academy Award winner Bernard Shaw and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, Proof), starring three-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad (A Doll's House, Part 2, 'Billions').

Music Sales Corporation, Inc. announces it has acquired the worldwide publishing rights to Vernon Duke's catalog, including the Great American Songbook gems “April in Paris”, “Autumn In New York”, and “Taking a Chance on Love” - the latter from the Broadway musical Cabin in the Sky (1940).

American Composers Orchestra (ACO) announces its complete 2017-2018 season, Dreamscapes, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel, Music Director George Manahan, and President Edward Yim, featuring ten world, U.S., and New York premieres by a diverse set of composers. It began pouring rain before the parade and several times during. Luckily, it is the Mermaid Parade, so a little water wasn't a problem for the marchers.

The Guthrie Theater today announced the final two of nine productions to be offered as part of the theater's 2017-2018 subscription season: Indecent, a new play with music by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel (How I Learned to Drive), conceived by Vogel and Rebecca Taichman; and the Guthrie's first production of the iconic American musical West Side Story, directed by Joseph Haj.

 Tony Award-winning producer Margot Astrachan (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) is joined by a panel of musical theatre industry veterans on Wednesday, April 19 at 7pm for an insightful discussion about how musicals come together.  Topics will include moving a work from concept to full production, and how musicals are selected for prestigious showcases like the New York Musical Festival.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the romantic comedy "Lunch Hour" by Jean Kerr, on Monday, April 24, at 7 p.m.  The reading will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each. 

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize administrator Mike Pride that Lynn Nottage's SWEAT has officially won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 

Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) is proud to present 'A Night At The Copa Starring Donny Most' on Sunday, May 7 at 7 p.m. Donny Most and his big blazing band perform the music of Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin along with the great American standards that have a jazz feel, such as songs from Dean Martin and Nat King Cole. Donny Most also mixes in lively tunes from the '30s, '40s and the Louis Prima jump 'n' jive genre.

Judy Garland's 'Over the Rainbow' Barbra Streisand's 'People' and the original cast album of Broadway's THE WIZ are among the 25 titles which will be preserved by the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry for 2016.
