Dutch dance music pioneer Ferry Corsten unveils Once Upon A Night, his latest compilation and concept tour. It is built as a double disc set featuring 25 unreleased tracks, all of which have been produced by Ferry himself or his frequent collaborators exclusively for the compilation. The album out March 30th on Ultra Music is an amalgam of the best in house and trance. Drawing influence from Corsten's travels to the world's most exotic destinations, listeners are transported on a journey through unchartered territories of sound.

Today, Friday, February 19, Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops announced details of the orchestra's 125th anniversary season, May 4-June 20, 2010, outlining programs that celebrate the orchestra's rich tradition of performing the great music of this country's past and present, for which the Boston Pops is so well known.

Six unemployed Buffalo steelworkers, low on both cash and prospects, decide to present a strip act at a local club after seeing their wives' enthusiasm for a touring company of Chippendales. As they prepare for the show, working through their fears, self-consciousness, and anxieties, they overcome their inner demons and find strength in their camaraderie. Although, the story is set in Buffalo the premise of plants closing, unemployment, and the problems that can result from these economic hardships is something that a majority of Detroiters find it easy to relate to these days.

The Profiles Theatre opened its 21st Anniversary Season with the Midwest premiere of Neil LaBute's The Mercy Seat. Directed by Artistic Director, Joe Jahraus, this production runs now through November 15, 2009 at the Profiles Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway. The Mercy Seat was one of the first theatrical responses to the attacks on September 11, 2001 and the current cast includes Profiles' ensemble member Darrell W. Cox and Cheryl Graeff.
