Lincoln Center Theater presents Patti LuPone, Dale Soules, Michael Urie, Jordan Dean, Lance Coadie Williams, and Zoe Winters in Shows For Days, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane, directed by Jerry Zaks. The production opened, June 29 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street), and it closes tonight, August 23.

The 9th Annual Welcome to Boog City Festival -- 5 Days of Poetry, Music, and Theater -- is headed to New York City!

Transport Group's current production, Three Days to See, an intimate portrait of Helen Keller, will offer a number of events surrounding the disabled community. Included is an audio described performance on July 29 for the visually impaired, an open captioned performance for the hearing impaired on August 5, and talkbacks with author Dr. Beth A. Haller (July 31) and Maricar Marquez of the Helen Keller National Center (August 4).

Broadway's new musical Amazing Grace officially opens tonight, July 16, at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). The show stars Tony Award nominee Josh Young, Erin Mackey, Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper, Tom Hewitt, Chris Hoch, Stanley Bahorek, Harriett D. It's another busy theater week in Tennessee, and in Nashville there are an extra 50,000 to 100,000 country music fans jamming up traffic and increasing wait times at local restaurants, thanks to CMA Music Fest, which natives and longtimers will remember as Fan Fair. So while you're steering clear of our version of Broadway in downtown Nashville, which will be teeming with more people than you can shake a stick at (as my mama would say),  you should instead make reservations to see some local talent onstage at some of the shows included in our Critic's Choice column today!

?Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce Mother (and me), a one night performance of the one woman show written by and starring Melinda Buckley on Monday, June 29 at 8 pm. Kimberly Senior directs.

Pixie Lott will star as Holly Golightly in a limited 12-week season of Breakfast at Tiffany's at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London's West End in 2016.  This will follow the first UK and Ireland tour of Truman Capote's classic tale brought to life so memorably by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 film.  It will be presented in a co-production with the Curve Theatre, Leicester.  The novella has been adapted for the stage by Pulitzer Prize-winning Finalist and Tony and Olivier Award-winning playwright Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain), and contains memorable songs from the era as well as original music by Grant Odling (One Man, Two Guvnors). 

The month of June will see actress DALE SOULES on double duty.

This summer, Joe's Pub at The Public (425 Lafayette, NYC) welcomes a slate of artists that defy genre but share a core of unadulterated and soulful vocals. The calendar promises a season of outstanding music performances from artists ranging from jazz man Brian Blade, making his singer-songwriter debut, to indie songbird Diane Birch to NPR phenomenon Fantastic Negrito to SXSW success story and mother-son duo Madisen Ward & the Mama Bear.

Transport Group, the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and OBIE Award-winning theatre company, has announced its 2015 summer production Three Days To See, a performance piece conceived and directed by Jack Cummings III, slated to run July 12 - August 16 at Theatre 79. The cast includes Ito Aghayere (Orange is the New Black, The Liquid Plain), Patrick Boll (Mamma Mia, All the Way Home), Marc De La Cruz (If/Then, Allegiance), Theresa McCarthy (Queen of the Mist, Floyd Collins), Chinaza Uche (Bintou, The Day On Which a Man Dies), Barbara Walsh (Company, Falsettos), and Zoe Wilson. Transport Group's 2015 season will also include the previously announced revival of Once Upon a Mattress starring John 'Lypsinka' Epperson and Jackie Hoffman, slated for the fall. The previously announced musical, The Blonde Streak, has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts.
