Sheffield Theatres and Orange Tree Theatre present Deborah Bruce's The Distance. Charlotte Gwinner directs Michelle Duncan (Bea), Charlotte Emmerson (Alex), Daniel Hawksford (Dewi), Charlotte Lucas(Kate), Timothy Knightley (Simon), Steven Meo (Vinnie) and Joshua Sinclair-Evans (Liam). The production opens tonight 3 November, with previews from 29 October, and runs until 14 November at Sheffield Theatres, ahead of a run at Orange Tree Theatre from 26 November to 19 December.

Full casting has been announced for the first national tour of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY. Joining the previous announced Elizabeth Stanley (On the Town, Million Dollar Quartet) as Francesca and Andrew Samonsky (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, South Pacific) as Robert are Cullen R. Titmas (The Last Ship, Avenue Q) as Bud, Mary Callanan (Mamma Mia!, Annie) as Marge, David Hess (Sweeney Todd, Annie Get Your Gun) as Charlie, Dave Thomas Brown (The Legend of Georgia McBride, Heathers) as Michael, Caitlin Houlahan (Parade at Lincoln Center) as Carolyn and Katie Klaus (The Bridges of Madison County Original Broadway Cast Member, Bonnie & Clyde) as Marian/Chiara/State Fair Singer. The ensemble comprises Cole Burden (Les Miserables), Caitlyn Caughell (Newsies), Brad Greer (I Am Harvey Milk at Lincoln Center), Lucy Horton (Cats), Amy Linden (Cheer Wars), Trista Moldovan (The Phantom of the Opera), Jessica Sheridan (Sister Act), Matt Stokes (Jesus Christ Superstar), Tom Treadwell (Annie) and Bryan Welnicki (Peter and the Starcatcher). THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY company will soon head into rehearsals in New York in preparation for the tour launch at the Des Moines Civic Center November 28 - December 5.

The reading will be directed by Tom Wojtunik with musical direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes, and casting by Michael Cassara, CSA. The musical received its first reading in June as part of the Emerging Artist Theatre's "New Works Series."

After months of fund raising and preparation, the inaugural season of Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat (BCTR) is in full swing. The innovative program, which was dubbed 'a theater camp for Broadway professionals' by Seth Rudetsky, and is aimed at developing new works, is in the process of workshopping two-time Harrington Award winning composer and librettist Adam Overett's CALL IT COURAGE, a musical adaptation of the beloved coming of age children's' novel.

Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) proudly announces the lineup for their 2015-2016 fifth anniversary season that will feature prominent guest artists from Broadway. Award-winning Broadway and Hollywood composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin), Stage Director Noah Himmelstein (An Inspector Calls) and Broadway composer Andrew Lippa (Big Fish, The Addams Family, I Am Harvey Milk) will each work directly with local high school students during the upcoming season on their fully orchestrated concert performances at Strathmore and The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at University of Maryland. Award-winning Broadway composer Andrew Lippa, who was the 2010-2011 Composer in Residence at Texas State, will return to Texas State to perform a concert of music from his shows along side students from the musical theater program and Broadway veteran Kaitlin Hopkins (Bat Boy, Bare) at the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Texas State University on October 17th at 7:30pm. There will also be a silent auction in the lobby of signed Film, TV and Theatre Memorabilia including scripts, photos and posters. All proceeds from the concert will go to scholarships for students in the Department of Theatre and Dance. Tickets are available at www.txstatepresents.com.
