Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) proudly announces the lineup for their 2015-2016 fifth anniversary season that will feature prominent guest artists from Broadway. Award-winning Broadway and Hollywood composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin), Stage Director Noah Himmelstein (An Inspector Calls) and Broadway composer Andrew Lippa (Big Fish, The Addams Family, I Am Harvey Milk) will each work directly with local high school students during the upcoming season on their fully orchestrated concert performances at Strathmore and The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at University of Maryland. Please see more about when and how each mentor will be involved with the students below (after the break).

On November 14, 2015 at 4pm, YAA will present Frank WIldhorn's Jekyll and Hyde in Concert at Dekelboum Concert Hall at The Clarice Smith PAC, featuring a symphonic orchestra of 54 student instrumentalists and 40 vocalists selected from all over the DMV area.

On March 13, 2016, they will present the youth premiere of the new symphonic version of Stephen Schwartz's Children of Eden at Strathmore. The performance will feature over 275 student musicians, including a guest appearance by the 180-voice North Bethesda Middle School chorus.

YAA Music Director, Kristofer Sanz will conduct both productions. He is currently also the Music Director and Philharmonic conductor of Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras of Strathmore. His brother, co-founder of YAA, and world-renowned operatic tenor, Producing Artistic Director, Rolando Sanz, will serve as Vocal Director for both productions.

Tickets will go on sale for Jekyll and Hyde in Concert in October and in January for Children of Eden. Tickets range from $15-$45 and can be purchased at www.youngartistsamerica.org.
