The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, partnering with national and local community organizations, artist practitioners and scholars, continues its B-Series, a biannual celebration of hip hop and street dance, with Under 1 Roof: A House & Hip-Hop Convergence featuring B-Bout It, a street-dance jam and battle. Partnering with Kuumba Lynx, Urbanized Music, BraveSoul Movement, Modern Dance Music Research and Archiving Foundation, New Rhythm Arts Center and The Community Schools Program, the B-Series presents a mini hip-hop and street dance festival featuring presentations, workshops, dialogue sessions and a community dance jam and competition.

REPRISE 2.0 is now announced, presenting a season of three classic American musicals at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, by Marcia Seligson, Producing Artistic Director of the new performing arts organization.  REPRISE 2.0 is partnering with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Department of Theater (UCLA TFT), chaired by Brian Kite.

Outfest - the Los Angeles based nonprofit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBT stories on the screen - today announced its 2017 Achievement Award recipient, Bryan Fuller, and its galas, including Opening and Closing Night, for the 2017 Outfest Los Angeles LGBT Film Festival presented by HBO. Huntington Theatre Company, Boston's leading professional theatre, announces its 2017-2018 season. The Huntington has long been an anchor cultural institution of Huntington Avenue, the Avenue of the Arts, and will remain so on a permanent basis. The Huntington's upcoming season will include productions in the Huntington Avenue Theatre (known as the BU Theatre through June 30), and plans are underway to convert the theatre into a first-rate, modern venue with expanded services to audiences, artists, and the community. The 36th season will include four plays at the Huntington Avenue Theatre, as well as three plays at the Wimberly Theatre and one special event in the Roberts Studio Theatre, both located in the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA in the South End.

Enchantment abounds as the season continues with the Bay Area Premiere of Marc Norman, Tom Stoppard and Lee Hall's effervescent romance, Shakespeare in Love, coming to MTC this holiday season. In the Elizabethan era, when women are forbidden to become actors, what's a stage-struck lady to do? Lady Viola de Lesseps adores plays, especially those by a young writer named Will Shakespeare, but can only look on longingly as men and boys perform them. Will, meanwhile, has his own struggles: his inspiration fled, his debts and unwritten commissions piling up…until he meets an unknown young player named Thomas Kent, who speaks his words as he's always dreamed they'd be spoken, and a beautiful woman named Viola, who could be just the muse he needs. Under the direction of MTC artistic director Jasson Minadakis, this stage adaptation of the beloved film finds its true essence: a love letter to the power of theatre and the imagination.

As a democratic collective of theatre artists dedicated to producing bold new work, Annex is proud to present new and familiar Seattle artists in eight exciting projects. The long-awaited Broadway debut of August Wilson's Jitney, directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (The Piano Lesson, Seven Guitars, Gem of the Ocean), opens tonight at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).
