Hi, Hitler - 2017 - Off-Broadway History , Info & More

Cherry Lane Theatre
38 Commerce St. (Bedford & Hudson Street) New York, NY 10014

Hi, Hitler, created and written by Pohl and from producers David DeAlmo (Oh, Hello at Cherry Lane, Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King) and Rebecca Crigler (Mike Bribiglia's Thank God For Jokes, Chris Gethard's Career Suicide), finds the versatile actress playing over 30 characters as she tells the story of finding her identity in NYC as an immigrant.

Meet a German-Jew who grows up in a wild family of artists, is fascinated by the Fuehrer from age four, and is uprooted from Germany to NYC at age eight. Lucie yearns for normalcy, but being different seems to run in her bloodline and escaping her inherited high-drama-destiny might just be impossible.

Pohl has performed Hi, Hitler to sold-out audiences in Los Angeles and Baltimore, as well as in Germany, Bucharest, and on London's West End at The Leicester Square Theatre. The show, in its original incarnation, garnered an NY Innovative Theatre Award Nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance when Lucie performed it in 2015 at the IRT Theatre. The show debuted in 2014 at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival to rave reviews.
