Producers have confirmed to The New York Times that Tony nominee Andrew Rannells will succeed Neil Patrick Harris in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway. Rannells, who is contracted for an eight week run, will take on the title role beginning August 20, after Harris departs on August 17.

Atlantic Records will release the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the most nominated musical revival of the season, featuring Tony Award nominees Neil Patrick Harris and Lena Hall.
