New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that The Little Foxes, written by Lillian Hellman, and directed by Ivo van Hove, will begin performances Friday, September 10, at 8pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2010, at 7:00pm. The production runs through October 31, 2010.

The 2011 Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum season was announced today by Center Theatre Group Artistic Director Michael Ritchie. Stellar actors such as Jane Fonda, John Lithgow and Olympia Dukakis will be featured in plays by Moisés Kaufman, John Lithgow and Morris Panych, respectively, plus works by Lanford Wilson and Theresa Rebeck will be presented in the Taper's 44th season at the Los Angeles Music Center.

Beginning August 13, Artists Repertory Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company will bring a world-class production of EuGene O'Neill's gut-wrenching autobiographical play Long Day's Journey Into Night to Portland. So close to his own life, Long Day's Journey Into Night is a story O'Neill did not want shared until 25 years after his death.

BLOW by BLOW, a new play by Jean Bergantini Grillo based on the spirited life and tragic death of British style icon Isabella Blow, has been selected to premiere at next month's 11th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival. Performances are set for Wednesday, July 21, at 6 pm; Saturday, July 24, at 7 pm; and Sunday, July 25, at 1 pm, at the Jewel Box Theatre, 130 W. 29th Street. Producers Randall L. Wreghitt (The Miracle Worker, Grey Gardens, Lieutenant of Inishmore) and Jana Robbins (Ragtime, Little Women - The Musical) have announced that they will bring The Great Game, a new drama/play by D. Tucker Smith, to Broadway in the 2011-2012 season. Tony nominated director Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall, Adrift in Macao) will direct the production. Casting and theatre will be announced in the weeks to come.
