The York Theatre Company honors Broadway and Hollywood legend Angela Lansbury with the 2015 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre tonight, November 16, 2015 at Guastavino's (409 East 59th Street).

The York Theatre Company has announced today Broadway's Klea Blackhurst (York's Call Me Madame) Mario Cantone (Assassins), Erin Davie (York's Silk Stockings, Side Show), Matt McGrath (Nice Work If You Can Get It), and Mary Louise Wilson (On the Twentieth Century), along with the acclaimed Yale Wiffenpoofs, have joined the roster of illustrious special guest performers who will gather to honor Broadway and Hollywood legend Angela Lansbury at 2015 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Guastavino's (409 East 59th Street).

Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, The Gin Game, starring Tony Award winners James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson, begins previews tonight, September 23. Opening night will be on Wednesday, October 14 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue).

Four legendary women -- Production Designer Carmen Dillon, Production and Costume Designer Patricia Norris, Art Director and Set Designer Dorothea Holt Redmond and Illustrator Dianne Wager -- will be inducted into the Art Directors Guild (ADG) Hall of Fame at the Guild's 20th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, it was announced today by ADG Council Chairwoman Marcia Hinds and Awards Executive Producer James Pearse Connelly. The ceremony will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 31, 2016.

The producers for the new Broadway production of D.L. Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, The Gin Game, starring Tony Award winners James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson, have announced a change for first preview and opening night dates. The production, originally scheduled to start previews on September 18, will start previews on Wednesday, September 23.

Windy City Playhouse, Chicago's newest Equity theater, announces the cast for its third production, the riotous Things You Shouldn't Say Past Midnight: A Comedy in Three Beds from Peter Ackerman, co-author of 20th Century Fox's hit animated film Ice Age. This contemporary sex farce is directed by William Brown, fresh off his successful run of Doubt at Writers Theatre. Brown directs a stellar cast of Broadway veterans and rising stars including Emily Tate, Peter Meadows, Patrese McClain, Shane Kenyon, Chris Sheard and Robert Spencer. Katherine Owens, Artistic Director of Undermain Theatre has released the season line-up for 2015-16 saying,  "We are now in our in 32nd year of exploring new writing and revisiting seminal modern works at the Undermain Theatre. Next season we will present a powerful season of premieres, monumental drama, and cutting edge performance with four mainstage productions, each a portrait of a family, bound by blood or by circumstance, confronting the forces of darkness. Two world-premieres bookend a regional premiere of one of the contemporary stage's leading theatrical voices and a masterwork of modern drama by a man some call the father of the American Theater."

Legendary actors James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson will share a Broadway stage for the first time in almost fifty years in a new production of D.L. Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, The Gin Game, directed by Leonard Foglia (Master Class, Thurgood).  The production opens Tuesday, October 13 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue).  Previews begin September 21.
