Tonight from the stage of Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles Philharmonic Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel announced the establishment of the Frank Gehry Fund for Creativity, honoring the architect's contributions to the LA Phil as the visionary creator of Walt Disney Concert Hall and as an innovative artistic partner over nearly five decades.

The Gallery at The Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street, NYC) presents 'LR9: 1957,' a multimedia group exhibition inspired by the Little Rock Nine. Curated by Ajamu Kojo, the exhibition includes oil painting, collage, sculture, found-object art and projected film works by artists including Patrick Earl Barnes, Kimberly Becoat, Paul Deo, Aimee Everett, Chet Gold, Aaqil Ka, Ajamu Kojo, Roni Nicoleand Valincy-Jean Patelli. The exhibition is open to the public through August 3. The Gallery is open daily from 9AM to 11PM. All works on exhibition are available for purchase.

It's another busy weekend of new shows opening and many others continuing to delight audiences, with ACT 1's Dog Sees God and Street Theatre Company's Dogfight both opening tonight, while two shows that opened yesterday will continue to treat audiences to some especially wonderful music. Plus, there's a whole slate of shows being performed at Crossville's Cumberland County Playhouse, a revival of Osborne & Epplers' Southern Fried Nuptials down in Woodbury at the Arts Center of Cannon County, and John Chaffin's Cliffhanger enters its final weekend at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre. His satirical drama, "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui" is a thinly veiled chronicle of the rise of Hitler and his inner-circle cohorts (Rohm, Goring and Goebbels) to power in Nazi Germany. Academic Theatre students at the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex will perform this play at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, tonight, Oct. 25-27, 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29 and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 in the B Building Theatre at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. in Rosedale.
