The Irish Repertory Theatre continues its sixth season of the Irish Rep Reading Series, with a free reading of Conor McPherson's adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's THE BIRDS on Friday, June 29 at 3 p.m. at the Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) in Manhattan. Henry Wishcamper directs.

Playwright April De Angelis takes a witty, exuberant look at the plight of the first actresses to tread the boards during the Restoration era in Playhouse Creatures, the second production to be staged at the brand new pop-up space, Theatre on the Fly. Profiles Theatre announces the Midwest premiere of Sweet and Sad by Richard Nelson will open the company's 2012-2013 season. Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
