The 21st Annual Arpa International Film Festival (Arpa IFF), being held at Hollywood's historic Egyptian Theatre from November 2 to 4, has announced the lineup of 46 films from 17 countries being screened this year. Arpa IFF will once again highlight a diverse range of films that explore themes such as genocide, war, feminism, family dynamics, environmentalism, music, art, adoption, intersectional identities, and LGBTQ issues.

The 62nd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® today announces its full programme, featuring a diverse selection of 225 feature films from both established and emerging talent. The Beach Boys are bringing good vibrations to the Majestic Theatre (224 E. Houston St) with their newly announced tour, Then & Now, stopping in San Antonio, TX on March 19, 2019 at 8PM. This tour comes as The Beach Boys mark over half a century of making music, continuing to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America's musical history. ZHONG-JING FANG, soloist of American Ballet Theatre, PAOLA HARTLEY, former principal dancer of Ballet Arizona, KARL CONDON, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, and ILYA KOZADAYEV, former soloist of the Houston Ballet will be on the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Zhong-Jing Fang and Paola Hartley will be on the faculty from July 23-27, 2018, and Karl Condon and  Ilya Kozadayev will be on the faculty from July 30-August 3, 2018.  

KCON USA, the world's largest Korean culture convention and music festival presented by Toyota, announced today that K-pop artists TWICE, NU'EST W, IN2IT, and DAVICHI will perform at KCON 2018 L.A. which is taking place August 10-12 at the Staples Center & LA Convention Center. The highly anticipated KCON Los Angeles concert tickets will go on sale July 11 at 10am (PST); and convention, Klub KCON, and Artist Meet & Greet tickets will go on sale on July 13 at 10am (PST).

To be sure, this band has birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions.  But its greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced complete casting for its upcoming production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY. As previously reported, Lauren Ambrose will be playing as Eliza Doolittle and Harry Hadden-Paton will play Henry Higgins, alongside Norbert Leo Butz as Alfred P. Doolittle and Diana Rigg as Mrs. Higgins. Just announced are: Allan Corduner as Colonel Pickering, Jordan Donica as Freddy Eynsford-Hill, Linda Mugleston as Mrs. Pearce, and Manu Narayan as Zoltan Karpathy.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts has announced that the first U.S. National tour of the hit musical THE BODYGUARD, will play Reynolds Hall from Today, Nov. 21 to Sunday, Nov. 26. Tickets go on sale next Friday, Sept. 29.
