The Midtown International Theater Festival (MITF) presents Insomnia with music and lyrics by Charles Bloom and book by Theo Wolf. Ovi Vargas directs a cast of seven, including Philip Skinner, Jesse Manocherian*, Anette Michelle Sanders*, Lauren Lukacek*, Chris Brick*, Tyler Milliron*, and Dennis Holland* (Bway: The Music Man, Peter Pan). Insomnia is being staged at the Main Stage, 312 West 36th Street in New York City from August 2-7, 2016.

This August, Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond.

The Woods Hole Theater Company (WHTC), located in Woods Hole a part of Falmouth on Cape Cod will present 'Eddie and The Palaceades' In Concert August 12-13 at the Community Hall at 68 Water Street, Woods Hole. The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team of the West Coast premiere of OCTOBER SKY, which will blast off the Globe's 2016-2017 Season with a tale of boys, rockets, and big dreams.

Totem Pole Playhouse, Pennsylvania's premiere summer theatre located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, presents A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum July 30 through August 14. One of the funniest musical comedies ever written, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum features the music and lyrics of legendary composer Stephen Sondheim and book by multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winning writer Larry Gelbart, who created the smash TV series 'M*A*S*H.' The musical, sponsored by Walker, Connor & Spang LLC, is directed by playhouse veteran David Hemsley Caldwell, and closes out the theatre's 2016 summer season, sponsored by Franklin County Visitors Bureau.

Just announced, Dress Circle Publishing will release THE UNTOLD STORIES OF BROADWAY, VOLUME 3, the latest in a series by acclaimed historian and producer Jennifer Ashley Tepper on Tuesday, November 15.

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, announces a one-week extension to Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Orchestral Reductions by Ian Weinberger, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo and choreography by Brock Clawson. The show, originally slated to run through July 31, 2016, will add an additional week, through August 7, in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

Legendary lyricist Tim Rice's new musical, From Here to Eternity, is currently playing at Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse through July 20. Based off the 1951 novel of the same name by James Jones, the show tells the story of a group of U.S. Army soldiers during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. From Here to Eternity, as Rice tells us via a phone interview, is much different than some of his past musicals including The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast. 'It's not like Aladdin or The Lion King,' he explains. 'The material is very different and more mature than those shows. It's a very complex story. There is a lot going on in it but that is what makes it such a beautiful show.'
