On Thursday, February 9th, Broadway's Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 celebrated 100 performances at Broadway's Imperial Theatre. The whole cast was on hand to celebrate the occasion and BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture it all. See photos from the backstage celebration below.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that though a waitlist is currently in place, the production is working on recording in a larger venue to accommodate as many fans as possible.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, continues its 24thseason and its theme of the strength of women with Having Our Say, The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years by Emily Mann. This inspirational story runs February 16th through March 5th, 2017 at the theatre's home in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Andrea Frye, acclaimed director and actor, will direct the production that is also part of the 2017 Roswell Roots Festival. Having Our Say is graciously sponsored by The Kimberly-Clark Corporation.

Four award-winning playwrights will join the residency programs at Signature Theatre, the company announced today.

Park Square Theatre is gearing up for its next season with world, American and Midwest premieres in a season that will showcase the Twin Cities diversity and talent.

The producers of the new musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) and featuring music by Richard Oberacker and a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, have just announced compete casting and an award-winning design team.

Akvavit Theatre, Chicago's premier Nordic Theatre Company, will launch 2017 with new artistic leadership and an expanded ensemble. Five year Akvavit veterans Kirstin Franklin and Breahan Pautsch will serve as the company's new Co-Artistic Directors, succeeding Artistic Director Chad Eric Bergman and Managing Artistic Director Bergen Anderson, who have served since 2009. Bergman and Anderson will remain with Akvavit as Founders and as part of the original company, which still includes Mark Litwicki and Matthew Isler. Additionally, Akvavit welcomes eight new Associate company members: Richard Gilbert, Joe Giovannetti, Sarah Giovannetti, Nigel Harsch, Paulette Hicks, Micah Kronlokken, Julie Mitre and Amber Robinson. 

Chamber music enthusiasts will want to mark their calendars for the start of Music Mountain's 88thSeason! Music Mountain President, Nicholar Gordon announced America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival will kick off on June 11th with a summer featuring Beethoven and favorite Piano Quintets! The Chamber Music Series will also welcome Music Mountain premieres, first time guests, and returning favorites! Pipeline Theatre Company has announced Beardo, with book and lyrics by Jason Craig (Beowulf - A Thousand Years of Baggage), music by Dave Malloy (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), and directed by Ellie Heyman (The Traveling Imaginary). Beardo will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church (155 Milton Street, Brooklyn - G Train, Greenpoint Stop).

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in the World Premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Wynton Marsalis's The Jungle (Symphony No. 4), commissioned by the Philharmonic as the first of The New York Commissions, with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis; William Bolcom's Trombone Concerto with Principal Trombone Joseph Alessi as soloist; and Copland's Quiet City, featuring Principal Trumpet Christopher Martin and English horn player Grace Shryock in her Philharmonic solo debut.

Adapted from Dick King-Smith's much-loved children's novel which inspired the Oscar-winning 1995 film, Babe, The Sheep-Pig will be brought to life on stage in an enchanting new production, embarking on a major UK Tour in 2017 following a Christmas season at Polka Theatre. Featuring stunning puppetry, an original score and an utterly charming 'baa-ber sheep' quartet, the tour will launch from West Yorkshire Playhouse on Monday 13 February and run until September 2017.
