Partial Comfort Productions (Obie Award winner and Drama Desk nominee A Bright New Boise) kicks off its 12th season with THE WELCOME MAT READING SERIES, a collection of bold and groundbreaking new plays by four of the country's fastest-rising female playwrights.

Fearless Productions will present 'Legends and Bridge' by C. Stephen Foster in association with Black Box Theatre Publishing. This play is a comedy imagining former, silver screen legend Joan Crawford (matronly, washed up, and pickled on spiked Pepsi) who invites Judy Garland (recently fired from her CBS TV show) and Bette Davis (bitter at no longer being the 'Queen of Hollywood') up to her Manhattan apartment in 1964 to live with her as they work on a 'secret' film project.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced its production of the Michele Riml comedy Sexy Laundry, directed by Terry Martin, Jan. 31 - Feb. 22, 2015 in the Studio Theatre. Sexy Laundry is part of the new Discover Series in the Studio Theatre.

Casting for Bend It Like Beckham will be announced shortly.

The entire 2014 Season has been a year of celebration for The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre as it marks its 20th Anniversary Season. Since Way Off Broadway first opened it has been one of the region's most established and respected theatre organizations. To this day, it is the Frederick-area's only year-round producing theatre.

Tony Award winner Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart) and Karyl Lynn Burns (The Best is Yet to Come) present the New York premiere of Wiesenthal, the award-winning play written by and starring Tom Dugan and directed by Jenny Sullivan. Wiesenthal launches a limited 14-week engagement, from tonight, October 24 through February 1, at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, (410 W. 42nd Street). Opening night is November 5.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) and OBERON will present SHIDA, a new musical in development with book, music and lyrics by Jeannette Bayardelle, directed by Andy Sandberg, and music direction by Kurt Crowley.
