Colony Theatre to Present THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX, Begin. 2/11

The Colony Theatre will present the fourth production of its historic 40th Anniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX by Catherine Bush, directed by Brian Shnipper. THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX will preview on Wednesday, February 11; Thursday, February 12; and Friday, February 13 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, February 14 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, March 15.

This December, Marin Theatre Company continues its 48th Season with a presentation of Reduced Shakespeare Company performing their The Complete History of Comedy (abridged), starring writer/directors Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, with Dominic Conti. The "Bad Boys of Abridgement" will leave no joke untold as they deconstruct the entire history of comedy in a dizzying night's entertainment.

Mac Rogers' ASYMMETRIC to Play 59E59 Theaters, Begin. 11/14

59E59 Theaters will host the New York premiere of ASYMMETRIC, written by Mac Rogers and directed by Jordana Williams. Produced by Ground UP Productions in association with Gideon Productions, ASYMMETRIC begins performances on Friday, November 14 for a limited engagement through Saturday, December 6. Press opening is Wednesday, November 19 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30PM; Saturday at 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM. Please note: there is an added performance on Saturday, November 29 at 2:30 PM and there is no performance on Thursday, November 27 (Thanksgiving). Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Tickets are $25 ($17.50 for 59E59 Members). Civic Theatre will launch its 2014-2015 main stage season with the Lehigh Valley premiere of Mel Brooks' monstrously funny musical, 'Young Frankenstein' on Friday, October 10 with performances through Sunday, October 26. Civic's Artistic Director William Sanders directs. Gwen Swanson-Vigorito and Sanders serve as co-choreographers. Steve Reisteter serves as musical director. New Performing Arts Company Art-In-Relation Announces West Coast Premiere of FRANKENSTEIN THE MUSICAL in Long Beach

Jonas Sills and Ray Buffer have created a new performing arts company in Long Beach called Art-In-Relation (AIR). Art-In-Relation's first production, 'Frankenstein The Musical' will open October 23 at the Ernest Borgnine Theatre inside the Scottish Rite Event Center in Long Beach. The two producers also appear in this powerful production, as Victor Frankenstein and The Creature, respectively.

Five migrants from Somalia, Afghanistan and Turkey have paid an Agent to smuggle them across Europe and into England. Inside a shipping container parked behind the Theatre Centre, the Container Collective invites Toronto audiences to experience the claustrophobic, dark, and cramped conditions that that five refugees endure in order to start a new life.
