On September 24 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Main Theatre, winners of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA), the country's most prestigious music competition for the youth for more than 40 years, will be performing with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) to give a sampling of great works of some of the most prodigious composers who ever lived.

Inspired by Germany's Circus Sarrasani, we enter the big-top of a world-renowned circus in 1936 Berlin. When a peculiar anthropologist visits Cirque Exotique du Monde seeking oddities for his own collection, the equilibrium of this patchwork family of misfits is shaken. But when the circus catches the eye of Frau Goebbels, all is at stake. Illusions must be maintained, secrets kept and personal sacrifices made. The show must go on because lives depend upon it. World premiere.

The American Dance Festival (ADF) will partner with northeast Ohio's premiere dance presenter, DANCECleveland, to premiere their summer dance festival in Cleveland. The eight-day festival will include performances by three world-class dance companies, a four-day educational workshop series for advanced level dancers taught by ADF faculty, and free community events, as well as dance related special activities throughout the Playhouse Square district.

    Grover's Corners is of course the backdrop to the romance of George Gibbs (Jon Churchwell) and Emily Webb (Amanda Rodriquez). With minimal set to interfere with the actor's ability to carry the story the play moves along initially at a refreshing small-town pace.

Drew Cohen, President of Music Theatre International (MTI), announced today that MTI will represent the secondary stage performance rights to five musicals by the legendary writing team of Lerner & Loewe, including their masterpiece My Fair Lady, the beloved classics Camelot, Brigadoon and Paint Your Wagon, and their newly-restored early work, The Day Before Spring.   MTI, from June 1, will begin representing My Fair Lady in the US, the UK, and all English-language territories, and will represent the four other titles on a worldwide basis. David will design a multi-floor installation in our New York headquarters, responding to the centuries of American history and craftsmanship on view. The Americana Week exhibitions open to the public today 11 January.

Itzhak Perlman will return to the New York Philharmonic to conduct and perform Beethoven's Romances Nos. 1 and 2 for Violin and Orchestra, and to conduct Brahms's Symphony No. 4 and Academic Festival Overture, Today, November 15, 2016, at 7:30 p.m.

Conducted by CSO Music Director Rossen Milanov, this passionate and spectacular piece touches every emotion from stark terror to soothing beauty to an uplifting sense of spirituality. Although composed as a sacred work, its deep theatricality has led to it being frequently described as "Verdi's greatest opera." To adequately convey the breadth of his vision, Verdi called for the combined forces of a full orchestra, chorus, and four solo vocalists. As such, the Columbus Symphony will be joined by the Columbus Symphony Chorus, soprano Michelle Johnson, mezzo-soprano Margaret Mezzacappa, tenor Evan Johnson, and bass Burak Bilgili.
