The Public Theater announced today that Stew and Heidi Rodewald will perform live with the on-stage band for THE TOTAL BENT, playing the guitar and bass, respectively. With text by Stew and music by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, the team behind the Tony Award-wining musical Passing Strange, which premiered at The Public in 2003, this world premiere musical is directed by Joanna Settle. Performances begin Tuesday, May 10 and continue through Sunday, June 12, with an official press opening on Wednesday, May 25.

North/South Consonance, Inc continues its series of free-admission concerts on Tuesday evening March 15 when members of the North/South Chamber Orchestra perform first performances of recent works by composers representing three generations and various aesthetic points of view. Benet Casablancas, Christopher Ha Chun, David Colson, Max Lifchitz and Carlos Rodriguez. The works by Chun and Rodriguez are being performed in collaboration with the Texas-based American Festival for the Arts (AFA). The Pasadena Playhouse announced today that The New Victory Theater in New York will present the Off-Broadway premiere of The Pasadena Playhouse/Crossroads Theatre Company production of FLY, by Trey Ellis and Ricardo Khan, the Tony Award-winning co-founder and former artistic director of Crossroads Theatre Company, to open March 11, 2016. FLY will be directed by Ricardo Khan.
