As the kick-off to this year's highly anticipated “2018 American Music Awards,” chart-topping artists Kane Brown and Ella Mai, singer and American Music Award winner Normani and award winning singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha today announced the nominations LIVE from YouTube Space LA. The event was livestreamed on the official American Music Awards YouTube channel (YouTube.com/TheAMAs) and included a panel discussion about the nominations with the presenting talent and Billboard correspondent Chelsea Briggs. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the “2018 American Music Awards” will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 9 at 8:00pm ET on ABC.

Ted Sperling, Artistic Director of MasterVoices, announced details of the acclaimed ensemble's 77th season, celebrating the power of the human voice to unite, inspire and connect since 1941. The upcoming season will be framed by two major musical events, the New York premiere of a multi-media version of Handel's oratorioIsrael in Egypt performed at Carnegie Hall, and a new adaptation of the Kurt Weill-Ira Gershwin-Moss Hart avant-garde musical, Lady in the Dark, starring Victoria Clark at New York City Center. Lady in the Dark has not been seen in New York since it was presented at New York City Center in 1994 as part of the inaugural Encores! season.

POV recently acquired the U.S. broadcast rights for306 Hollywood by Elan and Jonathan Bogarín. The film will join POV's early 2019 schedule with AmDoc/POV Co-production Minding the Gap by Bing Liu, which announced last week a Hulu Originals acquisition for an August 2018 theatrical and streaming release. These 2019 films build on POV's recent announcements regarding the acquisition of On Her Shoulders and The Silence of Others.

Navy Pier Pride Presented by American Airlines is coming through with flying colors this year! Kicking off Monday, June 18, the third annual free event will consist of a full week of family-friendly festivities in honor of the LGBTQ+ community, culminating in a daylong grand celebration on Saturday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to midnight. Hulu and VICE Media announced their first-ever content licensing agreement. The new pact — VICELAND's first SVOD partnership — will increase Hulu's library of unscripted programming with 15 critically acclaimed series from VICELAND, including all past episodes of the Emmy Award-nominated Gaycation and Woman, as well as popular shows such as F*ck, That's Delicious. These and other VICELAND series will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu beginning June 8th, significantly expanding the reach of the new channel's award-winning content library.
