George Clooney's upcoming film adaptation of the off-Broadway play Farragut North, entitled Ides of March, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood will open the Venice Film Festival on August 31.
