The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced full casting for the London premiere of Ella Hickson's exhilarating take on JM Barrie's beloved classic, Wendy & Peter Pan, directed by Jonathan Munby.

Musical Theatre Melodies, hosted by Rob Morrison, will mark the 70th anniversary of the Broadway premiere of Fanny by Harold Rome on Tuesday, November 12th featuring the original 1954 Broadway cast recording.

Hailed by The Boston Globe as “simply the best,” the Quartet will perform an outstanding program of musical works by J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Sibelius, and the local premier of a work by Jamaican-born composer, Eleanor Alberga.

Multiple award winners Siân Phillips, Nathaniel Parker and Lolita Chakrabarti lead an ensemble cast directed by James Dacre performing Terence Rattigan’s most personal one act masterpieces Table Number Seven (from Separate Tables) and The Browning Version, which are paired for the first time to capture one quietly momentous evening seventy years ago. Together, they present Rattigan as one of the great twentieth century chroniclers of the paradoxes of the human heart.

This morning, BWW reported the sad news that Florence Henderson has passed away at the age of 82. Best known for her work on The Brady Bunch, Henderson was also a veteran of the stage. She made her Broadway debut at the age of 18 and played Laurey in the 1953 revival of Oklahoma! at City Center as well as the title role of Fanny at the Majestic Theatre in 1954. She also played Maria on the 1st National Tour of The Sound of Music, Anna in The King and I in Los Angeles in 1965, as well as Nellie Forbush in the 1967 Lincoln Centre production of South Pacific.

Mimi Stern-Wolfe's Downtown Music Productions will appear in a revival of Harold Rome's witty satire Pins and Needles, music direction by Stern-Wolfe, stage direction by Larry Marshall, choreography by Mercedes Ellington,Tuesday October 25, 7 PM, at the Howl Gallery, 6 East 1st Street.  (All proceeds will go to the Actor's Fund and HOWL Help.)  With its critically acclaimed score and lyrics, Pins and Needles,  written in 1937, is a unique call for social justice and equity.

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, announces a one-week extension to Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Orchestral Reductions by Ian Weinberger, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo and choreography by Brock Clawson. The show, originally slated to run through July 31, 2016, will add an additional week, through August 7, in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.
