Long Wharf Theatre concludes its 2012-13 season with Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park, by Bruce Norris, and directed by Associate Artistic Director Eric Ting. The play will take place on The Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Mainstage from May 8, 2013 through June 2, 2013.

The New York premiere of THE GOLDEN DRAGON, presented by the OBIE Award-winning The Play Company (WORKING ON A SPECIAL DAY, INVASION!), is written by acclaimed German playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig and translated by David Tushingham. THE GOLDEN DRAGON is directed by Ed Sylvanus Iskandar (THESE SEVEN SICKNESSES, RESTORATION COMEDY), renowned for whimsical invite-only theater company, Exit, Pursued by a Bear. THE GOLDEN DRAGON will be performed at The New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street in the West Village) from Wednesday, May 8th through Sunday, June 9th, 2013. The press opening is Wednesday, May 15th.

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the September 11th tragedy, and to celebrate their tenth season Desipina & Co. - a fusion arts company focusing in film and theatre, dedicated to promoting cross-pollinations of artistic, political and cultural dialogues - will present BARRIERS, a play by Rehana Lew Mirza (THE GOOD MUSLIM) about a South Asian family's loss from the 9/11 attacks and the backlash they endure, featuring a cast that includes Pooja Kumar (Miss India USA 1995, 'Flavors') and Sunkrish Bala (ABC-TV's 'Notes from the Underbelly'). Previews of BARRIERS will begin Wednesday, September 7 prior to an official opening date of September 9 at HERE (145 6th Avenue, enter on Dominick, 1 block south of Spring Street) in Manhattan.

The Guthrie Theater today announced that Artistic Director Joe Dowling will direct legendary stage actor Brian Dennehy in John B. Keane's The Field in a limited run at Dublin's Olympia Theatre beginning January 13. Dennehy plays the iconic role of ‘The Bull' McCabe in Keane's award-winning play. The Field returns to the Olympia Theatre where it premiered more than 45 years ago and will run from January 13 through to February 12, then transfer to the INEC, Killarney, from February 15 through 17, followed by a transfer to the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, from February 24 through 26.
