The Yiddishkayt Initiative (YI) (Avi Hoffman, Producing Artistic Director) and Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Artistic Director) have announced the full lineup of events for the inaugural YI Love New York YiddishFest. The fourth Musco Center for the Arts season at Chapman University will run September 2019 through May 2020 with a packed schedule of artists and groups from the worlds of opera, dance, theatre, and classical music as well as Broadway, jazz, country, and American roots music. The story follows the adventures and misadventures of two sisters, Ruth and Eileen-one an aspiring writer and the other a dancer-who move from their comfortable hometown in Ohio to Greenwich Village, a bohemian area in New York City to fulfill their dreams. Wonderful Town will perform at Hillbarn Theatre (1285 East Hillsdale Blvd., Foster City) November 2-4, 2018. Monchhichi, the 2017 original CGI-animated series co-produced by Paris-based Technicolor Animation Productions and TF1 in collaboration with Sekiguchi based on the iconic lovable plush, will have its U.S. premiere on the Boomerang premium subscription streaming service. There are few places quite like Peninsula Players Theatre. Located on picturesque Green Bay, the historic residential summer theater is both a host to professional talent and a haven for young theater artists on the precipice of their careers. For the interns, this theater's program is a chance to work alongside theater professionals in a living and learning environment. The interns have the opportunity to work alongside members of Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers; members of United Scenic Artists, the union of scenic, lighting, sound and costume design; and members of the Stage Director and Choreographers Society.
