Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Announces 50th Anniversary Season

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey today announced its 2012 season - the 50th Anniversary season of the state's largest professional theatre dedicated to Shakespeare and other world classics, and the longest running Shakespeare Theatre on the East Coast. Founded in 1963 in Cape May by Paul Barry and Philip Dorian as the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, the company was invited to take up residence at Drew University in 1972. 2012 also marks the 40th Anniversary of the Theatre's residency in Madison.

Block will join the Tony Award winning company of Anything Goes performing the role of 'Reno Sweeney' while Sutton Foster is filming the television pilot, Bunheads, for 3 weeks in November. Specific dates have been announced today and Block will officially be stepping into the role November 4 through November 22.

According to Deadline.com, Zach Braff is in final talks to play the under-appreciated assistant to James Franco's title character in 'Oz, the Great and Powerful.' They join the previously announced Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis, and Michelle Williams. The movie begins production in July.
