The Citizens Theatre and the National Theatre of Scotland are presenting This Restless House a highly-ambitious trilogy of new plays by Zinnie Harris based on Aeschylus' The Oresteia at the Citizens Theatre from 15 April 2016. Citizens Theatre Artistic Director Dominic Hill directs this exhilarating theatrical event and contemporary take on an epic Greek tragedy which will be presented in two instalments on alternate evenings and in full on Saturdays until 14 May 2016.

The season also includes a new production of Frank McGuinness' classic play Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of The Somme and a new production of Beckett's iconic play Endgame featuring David Neilson and Chris Gascoyne.

Some of Broadway's most talented musical leading ladies will come together in The Ladies Who Sing Sondheim, a gala benefit for Off-Broadway's esteemed Classic Stage Company on Monday, March 14 at Alice Tully Hall (1941 Broadway) helmed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, who will become the company's new Artistic Director in July. The evening will include performances from Sondheim's canon by Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza), Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple), Joaquina Kalukango(The Color Purple), Judy Kuhn (Fun Home, CSC's Passion), Marin Mazzie (Kiss Me, Kate) and Alexandra Silber (Fiddler on the Roof). Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

?At 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, the theatre program at Oakland University will open its latest production, which is 'Faust(US)', a radical new approach to Christopher Marlowe's dark 16th-century drama "The Tragical History of the Life and Death of  Doctor Faustus." Faustus is a man unable to find fulfillment in any other field of study, so he turns to necromancy and makes a deal with the devil. He agrees to exchange his soul for a life of earthly pleasure, wealth and honor. 

The Olivier Award nominated Rose Theatre Kingston production of Jacqueline Wilson's critically acclaimed Hetty Feather today announces an international transfer to the Asolo Repertory Theatre in Florida for a limited run from 2 to 26 June 2016. Currently enjoying a major UK tour, the production continues on to Chichester Festival Theatre on 27 January followed by Nottingham Theatre Royal, Oxford Playhouse, Leicester Curve, Rose Theatre Kingston, Southampton Mayflower Theatre, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Clywd Theatr Cymru, Orchard Theatre Dartford, Cardiff New Theatre completing the run at Cheltenham Everyman Theatre before travelling to Sarasota, Florida for its US premiere.

Quintessence concludes its sixth season of progressive classic theatre with the Devil and Saints Repertory: Shaw's SAINT JOAN presented in rotating repertory with Christopher Marlowe's DOCTOR FAUSTUS. An eleven actor repertory ensemble, comprised of Quintessence's best and lead by directors Rebecca Wright and Alexander Burns, will bring to life Shaw and Marlowe's masterworks and continue to establish Quintessence's brand of epic classic theatre for 21st century Philadelphians. Kit Harington will return to the London stage to play the title role in an anarchic production of Doctor Faustus at the Duke of York's Theatre, London, from 9th April 2016. Directed by Jamie Lloyd, Christopher Marlowe's masterwork, with two acts by Colin Teevan, will preview from Monday 9th April 2016, booking until Saturday 4th June.

Full casting has today been announced for the West End run of the Royal Court Theatre's production of Hangmen. ProducersRobert Fox, Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions and Royal Court Theatre Productions are delighted to announce that Andy Nyman will play Syd, Craig Parkinson will take on the role of Inspector Fry and Tony Hirst will play Bill, completing the cast of the West End production.
