The Orpheum Theatre announced today that individual tickets for the Memphis premiere of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale Friday, July 22 at 10 AM. The staged production of the worldwide smash-hit film with live music will play the Orpheum Theatre September 13-18, 2016.

Baby', 'Do You Love Me?' and the heart stopping '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life', and follows two blockbuster West End runs and two hit UK tours. Casting will be announced in the spring.

PITTSBURGH – FUSE@PSO, the popular, genre-bending early evening concert series presented by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, returns Wednesday, March 9 to Heinz Hall with “Stravinsky's Firebird: Remix | Response.”  For this concert, series Creative Director Steve Hackman has crafted a modern dramatization and remix of Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird. Weaved into the Stravinsky are 12 original songs, inspired by the myth of the Firebird and the original 1911 score, that implement modern pop/DJ/electronica production techniques and tell the story in an entirely new and contemporary way.  It is at once a live remix, concept album and classical masterpiece. Joining the Pittsburgh Symphony are rapper Jecorey “1200” Arthur, singer Malia Cievtz, drummer Gabriel Globus-Hoenich and a 15-person female choir.

Multi award-winning musical Mary Poppins flies back onto the Birmingham Hippodrome stage just in time for Easter 2016, opening on Wednesday 9 March until Saturday 23 April 2016.

Double Platinum selling artist Newton Faulkner joins the cast of Green Day's explosive Tony Award ® winning musical, American Idiot, on it's UK Tour. Newton will be taking on the role of Johnny from May 2016 after Matt Thorpe, who will open the role from 19 March at the Curve Theatre, Leicester until 7 May at the New Theatre, Oxford.  One of the UK's finest contemporary singer-songwriters, Newton's unique style of guitar playing and soaring vocals have made him a worldwide success since he burst onto the music scene back in 2007. 

There's currently a live version of the classic movie Dirty Dancing touring, and it's in Denver through the end of the month. I'll admit, I've never seen the film version of Dirty Dancing. (I swear, it's the truth.) But I had the time of my life. (OK, sorry.)
