So begins 'Hate Mail,' Bill Corbett's and Kira Obolensky's epistolary alternative to A. R. Gurney's 'Love Letters.' Corbett and Obolensky were 'originally inspired by two things: 1) the idea of doing a parody of 'Love Letters' (which was produced in 2009 by the Boca Raton Theatre Guild), and 2) the intriguing possibility of writing it in actual correspondence between two authors.

It was revealed today that musician/singer/songwriter/actor Chan Marshall (also known as Cat Power)  will be the voice narrating the upcoming Janis Joplin documentary “Janis” from Academy Award-nominated director Amy Berg (“Deliver Us From Evil,” “West of Memphis”). The documentary will have its much anticipated World Premiere at the Venice Film Festival where it was just selected to screen out of competition.

A 2014 First Night Most Promising Actor, among his many credits are Lord Farquaad in Shrek: the Musical (Lipscomb University and Circle Players), Roscoe Dexter in Singin' in the Rain (Springhouse Theatre) and A-Rab in West Side Story (Lipscomb University). Just over the horizon for 2015, he has the roles of General Genghis Khan Schmitz in Seussical and Gerry in Dancing at Lughnasa on tap.
