Avant Bard has announced that Khalil Kain has had to withdraw from the cast of TOPDOG/UNDERDOG due to unforeseen personal circumstances. But Avant Bard is happy to announce that Jeremy Keith Hunter has joined the production. Jeremy will play opposite Louis E. Davis in the Pulitzer Prize-winning dark comedy by Suzan-Lori Parks about two African American brothers grappling for destiny. The production runs from March 14 to April 14, 2019, at Gunston Arts Center Theatre Two in Arlington.

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Washington Ensemble Theatre has announced the cast for the Seattle premiere of Feathers and Teeth, the twisted horror comedy by Charise Castro Smith that grapples with the power of grief and the dangers of the other side. WET members Rachel Guyer-Mafune (WET: Teh Internet Is Serious Business, ACT: The Wolves, Book-It: Howl's Moving Castle) and Samie Spring Detzer (WET: Teh Internet Is Serious Business, Revolt. She said. Revolt again.) return to the WET stage to star as the creepy cool daughter/stepmother duo, Chris and Carol. Brandon J. Simmons (WET: Sextet, The Seagull Project: The Cherry Orchard, The Three Sisters) joins the cast as Arthur and James Schilling (ArtsWest: Peter and the Starcatcher, The Horse in Motion: The Great Noise) makes his WET debut as Hugo. WET's Associate Artistic Director Bobbin Ramsey directs. This is the second play by Castro Smith to be produced by WET; the world premiere of The Hunchback of Seville was the company's final play produced at The Little Theater on 19th Avenue East before moving to its current home, 12th Avenue Arts

Third Man Records is excited to share its full slate of Record Store Day 2019 offerings. Production is underway in Salt Lake City, Utah, on the highly anticipated, innovative and re-invented 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' for Disney+, The Walt Disney Company's upcoming streaming service. The series is developed and executive produced by Tim Federle ('Ferdinand'), alongside showrunner and executive producer Oliver Goldstick ('Pretty Little Liars,' 'Ugly Betty'). Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush (the original 'High School Musical' trilogy) are also executive producers. Sundance Film Festival-nominated film, television and music video director Tamra Davis ('Empire,' 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend') is directing the first three episodes. The choreographer is Zach Woodlee ('Glee,' 'Dumplin'').

The American Theatre Wing announced today that the 2019 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients are Julia Gytri & Avi Amon (book, music and lyrics), Emily Gardner Xu Hall (book, music and lyrics), Andy Roninson (music and lyrics), and Ben Wexler (music and lyrics). Four prestigious grants of $10,000 each, as well as additional support in the form of residencies, concerts, and recording grants, totaling over $50,000, will be presented on Monday, March 19, 2018 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.
