It's an opportunity not even all professional musicians encounter -- a chance to take their music on the road (or in this case-in the air for 13+ hours), but that's exactly the reward waiting for Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra at the end of their 2015-16 season!

The Barbican today announced a stellar program of events for spring and summer 2014, pushing the boundaries of all major art forms for its diverse audiences. According to an Equity Audition notice, the Steppenwolf's production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf will begin previews on Broadway on September 27, 2012 in anticipation of its previously announced October 13, 2012 opening at a Shubert Theatre to be announced. Pam Mackinnon will continue to helm the project. Jerry Frankel, Jeffrey Richards Susan Q. Gallin and Mary Lu Roffe will produce.

Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin), announced a change to the theatre's Legacy Program for the inaugural season at the Company's new home, Signature Center: the theatre will produce Albee's 1977 play, The Lady from Dubuque, in a new production featuring Tony Award winner Jane Alexander and directed by David Esbjornson. The world premiere of Edward Albee's Laying an Egg will be produced in a future season.

In celebration of its 50 year anniversary, the critically-acclaimed Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? will open on Broadway Saturday, October 13, 2012-exactly 50 years to the date after the play's original Broadway opening on Saturday, October 13, 1962.
