Cast Announced for the Goodman's HAVING OUR SAY: THE DELANY SISTERS' FIRST 100 YEARS

Goodman Theatre revives Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years, Emily Mann's "warming theatrical event" (Variety)that celebrates the lives of "two strong, vibrant women dispensing joy and wisdom" (Chicago Tribune). Goodman Theatre Resident Director Chuck Smith's production features Ella Joyce and Marie Thomas as the Delany centenarians, Bessie (1891 - 1995) and Sadie (1889 -1999), respectively, as they trace their lives in a heartfelt reflection of their family history and triumphs over prejudices in times of social unrest.

(DSM) and Broadway Across America (BAA) announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public today. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Music Hall at Fair Park stage on June 13, 2018 for a limited 4 week engagement through July 7, 2018.

St. Ann's Warehouse presents the American Premiere of Schaub hne Berlin's Returning to Reims, an adaptation of French author Didier Eribon's memoir of the same name, directed by Berlin auteur Thomas Ostermeier, February 4-25. This production marks the first collaboration between St. Ann's and the Schaub hne, whose production of Richard III recently garnered acclaim in BAM's Next Wave Festival.

Duncan Alanson Spencer (1911-1999), the legendary Scenic Artist behind some of Hollywood's greatest films, will be honored by the Art Directors Guild Gallery 800 (ADG, IATSE Local 800) in a special exhibit entitled The Golden Brush: A Tribute to Duncan Alanson Spencer. Spencer's career spanned over 38 years and over 400 movies including The Wizard of Oz, White Christmas, Meet Me in St. Louis and Ziegfeld Follies. The exhibit opens with a hosted opening reception on Saturday, February 10 from 5 - 9pm and will run through Feb. 10, 2018.

Pennsylvania Ballet's spring season opens with Swan Lake, one of the most celebrated classical ballets of all time, at the Academy of Music March 8 18. This will be Pennsylvania Ballet's first time presenting the full traditional production based on the choreography of Marius Petipa. In the past, the company has only performed shortened or re-imagined versions of Swan Lake.

Science City Set to Expand Computer Science Education

Union Station officials today announced a recent and substantial partnership with Code.org, a non-profit dedicated to expanding nationwide participation in computer science education. This $167,000 agreement will fund the delivery of critical computer science training to regional K-12 educators for the next two years. This commitment also expands a site affiliate partnership with Science City that began in 2015 and further validates the priority both organizations put on meeting the rapidly growing demand for computer science qualified job seekers.
